HOW TO RECOVER DELETED FILE

Have you ever accidentally deleted a file or a contents of a file and you don't know how to recover them back?. I know it can be incredibly frustrating, especially when it is a job that you have been working on for days even months, but luckily deleting a file might not be the end of the file. In fact, in many cases most file are hidden in the recycle bin and can be retrieved. 


Checking the Recycle Bin


Open your Recycle Bin or trashcan (for Mac Users) by double clicking on it, if you find what you thought you had deleted? Simply drag it back onto your desktop, or right click then restore, that is it. But if you couldn't find it in your recycle bin, there are a numerous thing you can do like trying to recover a deleted file.
If you might have been doing some backups, you can recover an earlier version of your file using the recovery service in your backup. It might be an earlier file you had, before your file got deleted. but it’s better to recover some than lose all the files.

Recovering Deleted Files Using File History

If you have turned on File History Backup. Before the delections, then this section is for you.  
If you're running Windows* 10, select the Start button, select Settings > Update & security > Backup > Add a drive, and then choose an external drive or network location for your backups.

To Restore That Important Missing File or Folder:

Type Restore files in the search box on the taskbar, and then select Restore your files with File History.
Look for the file you need, then use the arrows to see all its versions.
When you find the version you want, select Restore to save it in its original location. To save it in a different place, press and hold (or right-click) Restore, select Restore to, and then choose a new location.

If your file is not in the Recycle bin or you don’t have any backups, you might want to try a file recovery programs such as: Piriform Recuva, Recover my files etc. other option is Disk Drill, a filerecovery tool designed for Mac, it also availablefor Windows user. It offers partition loss, hard drive reformatting, failed boot-ups, accidental deletions and so on.


to prevent such issue like this from occuring you have to save your files on a cloud-based service like DropBox, Mega, Onedrive, iCloud
